The association has been founded to maintain the free and open source arts + culture platform software OpenCulturas, a Drupal distribution built to enable creators and organizers in the cultural sector to promote their activities, low-threshold and accessible.
Furthermore OpenCulturas e. V. offers a governance model to democratically decide on further development for all site owners who run an instance of OpenCulturas.
